A simple view

Okay so, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts… Everywhere about people arguing over different things involving personal choice, what’s right and what’s wrong, etc etc (which is normal, it’s the internet). I always just kind of move past whatever it is and not place my input in on it because I never have any properly formed thoughts to input on the debate at hand. I’ve never been very articulate, and generally have difficulty putting thoughts into words. Though, recently, I think I’ve finally boiled down my view point on mostly every one of these arguments I’ve seen and thought about. It covers a wide range of subjects, spanning from gay marriage, abortion, tastes in movies and music, sense of humor, etc etc. This view point?

Let people be.

That’s it- three words. Just let people be, so long as they aren’t hurting anyone or forcing anything onto others. Do they like some strange exotic food you think is disgusting? Cool! Let them be, their enjoyment won’t hurt you at all. Does your friend watch a lot of cartoons which you think are childish? Neat! If they aren’t forcing you to sit and watch these shows with hthemlet them be. Is a member of your family, or a close friend gay, bi, trans, or identify as another gender? That’s great! Even if you don’t agree with this, you shouldn’t tell them who to be or how to live their life. Let them be.

Three words, and I feel like I’ve boiled down my entire philosophy on all subjects into it’s simplest form. I’m decently proud of this, and felt I should share it. Maybe someone can get some use out of it .u.
